7-Stanes: Newcastleton

7-Stanes: Newcastleton /
United Kingdom

Introduction

Close to the Scotland-England border, Newcastleton Bike Park has trails for all levels. There is plenty of fun to be had here on routes shorter than at most of the other 7-Stanes.

The Skills Area features blue and red-graded loops helping you decide what level of trail is right for you and is a great wee blast whatever you're riding. The following trails are available to ride:

  • The Caddrouns - A blue-graded trail with 50% was built for less experienced riders and is a fun introduction to real mountain biking.
  • Linns Route is slightly longer, it features a scenic route sticking to forest roads.
  • The Red Route offers a fantastic ride for more experienced riders with fast, narrow singletrack clinging to the valley side. The route hooks up with the Caddrouns blue route and includes the brilliant Pouter Lampert section of single track.
  • North Shore is an orange-graded bike park providing a challenge for experienced riders.
