Genuine competitor to Les Gets

I was in Alpe d'Huez for the Mega last year (2011) and was blown away by the huge number and variety of trails here. Plus, with Deux Alpes only 30mins drive away, the potential in this area is enormous. Anyway, the Alpe is amazing - start at over 3000m and have unbroken descent to the valley bottom at 700m - its about 2.5km VERTICAL baby!! This is all served by uplift and there's a huge range of trails (over 200km) to suit all abilities - including some super-dusty blue DH courses you can shred before hitting the gnarlier stuff. My favourite sections were in the woods just above Oz - sweet rooty sections, and loamy soil to perfect those two wheel drifts :-)

Pros: This place has everything. Go there for all your biking needs.

Cons: hmmn... its not on my doorstep.....
