Downhill at Todtnau

Downhill at Todtnau

For this week's Tuesday Trail we check out a location that's a little less well-known. Buried deep in the Black Forest in Southern Germany, Todtnau Bike Park is not a big bike park by any stretch. The 2-man chairlift is quite dated and off the top there is really only 2 different downhill trails to choose from. But one of those is a cracker. The Downhill Trail has been used for numerous rounds of the iXS race series over the years, so has soild credentials as a right-proper DH track! It's got pretty much everything you would expect, with steep technical sections, fast sections, berms, jumps, drops, etc, but it's most famous for the huge rim-bashing roots! This video was put together by German rider Philipp Becker, who did an awesome job in covering practically the whole trail. And the damp misty conditions just adds to the atmosphere.
