Day 62: Moving on to Châtel

URT Day 62 to chatel

Day 62: Spreading out in the Portes du Soleil. Moving on again, and for the last time on the URT. It’s only just round the corner to Châtel, and of course you don’t have to drive there. If you’re staying in Les Gets/Morzine for biking then you will almost certainly have bought a lift pass that covers the huge Portes do Soleil area so you could just use the lifts and ride the trails over the hills and down into Châtel. But then you’d have to get back the same day, and seeing as we’ll be here for a few days we took the van. A big thanks to Les Gets for a great weekend of riding. And it’s worth mentioning the awesome Les Gets clothing range that you can pick up in town, DH jerseys and baseball caps etc. But the best has to be a set of mens boxer shorts with the trail map printed on them. Get a pair, and then if you ever get lost on the trails you can always find your way home! Finally as promised Tim went through the pictures from the big-hit bag jump evening session with local rider Alexi. Here are a few of the best…
