China Peak Bike Park is located in Lakeshore in central California, approximately 65 miles northeast of Fresno. China Peak sits on the south shore of Huntington Lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains at 7,000 feet elevation. The China Peak Resort is named after the local mountain called "Chinese Peak".

The bike park is open weekends throughout the summer season (9am-to-4pm). Don't have your own bike? They have a fleet of full suspension Santa Cruz bikes and full face helmets for rent at the China Peak Adventure Center. Bikes can be rented for a full day or half day. Reservations are recommended and are taken for full day rentals only. Look for a calendar in spring 2014 of upcoming bike races to be held at China Peak. The mountain bike park at China Peak hosted a Pro GRT DH race in 2013 that, according to some of the pro racers, "was gnarlier than the Monte-Sainte-Anne World Cup course!"

To summarize China Peak's trails: With over 1,700 feet of vertical, they have lots of natural technical-downhill terrain with some steep chutes, technical-rock sections with multiple line choices and loose natural turns galore.  Riders who enjoy chunky rocks, loose techy turns, and steep terrain will be stoked! The word on the street is that an aggressive trail bike may work better than a full blown DH rig because some of the trails connect via long, relatively flat traverves. 1-3 days at the park is a good amount of time to sample all the trails. However, China Peak Resort has lots of outdoors opportunities for families as well.
