Introduction

KIRKWOOD MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK offers an exciting network of lift accessed trails from beginner through to advanced. Kirkwood's mountain bike trails serve up spectacular high-Sierra mountain terrain! There are 2 chairlifts operational to get you up the hill with your bike, and they are usually open from the start of July each summer through to September on weekends (trail conditions permitting). Advanced riders looking for a challenging cross country ride should check out the Sentinels Trail, while intermediate riders should try the Robey Wolfe trail. Mountain Bike Rentals are available at the High Alpine Adventure Center.

Kirkwood Mountain Resort, CA is located approximately 33miles south of Lake Tahoe in the Eldorado National Forest. The base elevation of the resort is at 7,800ft with a top-out point of 9,800ft. Sacramento, CA is100miles west of Kirkwood Mountain's bike park, and Reno, NV is 80miles to the north. 

  • There are 11 lift- accessed, gravity-fueled trails on the mountain with log rides, rollers, rock gardens, jumps and other terrain features.
  • A Pump track and skills area exists at the base of the mountain.
  • 18 XC/All-mtn trails wind there way through the valley.

Ticket Details

Lifts operate on weekends July 2nd thru September 4th.  Mountain bike trails and hiking trails are lift accessible.
