I-5 Colonnade

I-5 Colonnade /
United States

Introduction

The I-5 Colonnade bike park opened December 2005 as the first large urban bike park.  Built under the I-5 freeway in Seattle by the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance (responsible for Duthie Park also), it has grown and grown to feature multiple trails for all skills, as well as a pump track, dirt jumps and trials zone. The Tqualu Trail is for beginners, or those wanting an easier ride out, and features a rock chute, a ladder bridge, plus log rolls and skinnies.  The Limestone loop caters for the intermediate rider and is a 1/2 mile x-country loop of tight switchbacks, plenty of wooden stuff like bridges, log rides, as well as steeper rock chutes and step ups and even a long roller-coaster bridge ride.  The advanced, or Freeride, area steps it up further with flowy trails with berms, jumps and wall rides.
