Introduction

The trails are closed for Nov 2017 and will open again for winter operations soon...check back.

Kingdom Trails is a network of interconnected singletrack and doubletrack mountain bike trails in Vermont's unspoiled Northeast Kingdom. The area is operated by the Kingdom Trails Association (KTA), a not-for-profit organization established in 1994 by a group of visionary residents and business leaders in the area. Their goal is to encourage recreational use of the Northeast Kingdom that is ecologically sensitive and promotes the natural beauty of the region. The trails rely on more than 55 Northeast Kingdom landowners that allow trails on their private property. In order to generate the funds needed to maintain the trails and build new ones, all riders must purchase a day pass membership or season pass.

The Darling Hill area has the majority of the cross country singletrack trails. Situated on one of the more picturesque hills in Vermont, these trails wind through beautiful woods and glades. This system has trails for all levels of abilities, whether it’s the old farm roads and Nordic Trails for beginners; or tight, fast, flowing, singletrack for riders with a bit more skill. Check out the trails with growing reputations... Tap N die, Sidewinder, Troll Stroll, Kitchel, Tody’s Tour, Coronary Bypass, Pines, and Webs. You will be talking about some of these trails long after your visit! The main parking spot is behind the Kingdom Trails Welcome Center which is located right in the center of the East Burke village behind the big yellow Country store.  The Welcome Center is where you will purchase your pass, pick up a map and get any trail information you may need.  There are also showers on site at the Kingdom Trails parking area so you can get cleaned up before hitting the Outback Pub for some well earned beers to end the day.
