WINDHAM MOUNTAIN | BIKE PARK
Located in Windham, New York in the Catskill Mountains ~3 hours north of New York City, Windham Mountain Bike Park is scheduled to open for the very first time on July 3rd, 2015!
Windham is no stranger to big mountain biking events...having played host to the UCI WorldCup DH & XC events for the past 4 years. Now, the general public will be able to ride the same WorldCup DH track and the "Citizens DH" trail this summer along with 2 new trails in development with the help of world-renowned trail building guru Gravity Logic. One of the 2 new trails will be called "Wilderness Roll" and will likely be a beginner trail. The other trail "Batavia Skill" is rumored to be of the flow/jump variety. And of course there will be a pumptrack & skills area located close to the lodge at the base of the mountain. Windham Mountain has been around for decades operating as a ski resort for decades, so they have the infrastructure and amenities to accommodate mountain biking in a big way.
The lifts will run 7days per week! Season passes, half day passes, and twilight hours will be on offer(4-7pm Mon-Sat.). Rental bikes by Trek, package deals and lessons will be available as well.
The "Whirlwind" express quad lift will carry riders and bikes to access the new trails!
