Old School Gnar!!!

Whiteface has great expert terrain.  Very long runs with minimal time spent on service roads.  The trails from the top are very technical and reward percise tire palcement.  Although the flow has improved it is certainly not the strength of this mountain.  People who love this mountain love steep, rocky, rooty sustained decents.

The beginer and intermediate terrain is very limited and only accessed from a shuttle vehicle (bottom 1/4 of the mountain).  This terrain is fun and flows better than the rest of the mountain but has limited vert.

Despite promises there is no jump or flow trail.  This would really add to the mountain.

The XC trails at the moutnain are classic NE roots and rocks.  Newer school lower angle bench cut trails can be found within a few miles.  The XC riding in the area has improved in the last couple of years.

There is a pretty limited bike shop and a skilled mechanic on site.  There is a bar and food upstairs.  A great swimming hole is just down the road.

I really enjoy riding here but get frustrated with the lack of variety.
